Farm - History

The name Tanetsch (Taneczsch) was documented for the first time in 1361 AD.

At that time there was a "Unter" (below) and a "Obertanötsch" (above). From 1380 AD there has been a farm Untertanötsch. The word "Tanetsch" comes from the Roman "Funtanacea" which means spring with good water and surrounded by fertile soil. In 1977, next to the farm owner Reinhold built the hotel, which since 1999 is managed by his son Harald Rabensteiner.
